Tottenham's Dembele to undergo foot scan
Tottenham will have to wait for the results of a scan before discovering the extent of Mousa Dembele's foot injury.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed to Simon Peach of the Press Association that the Belgian midfielder is expected to undergo a scan Monday after suffering the knock during Tottenham's loss against Manchester United.
Dembele was forced out of the match just after the hour mark when Harry Winks replaced him in midfield. It was not immediately known why he was removed until Pochettino disclosed he had suffered a foot knock.
"We don't know now," Pochettino admitted, according to the Hertfordshire Mercury. "We need to assess (Dembele). He received a kick in his foot, but we don't know. We'll see tomorrow."
Dembele has featured regularly in Pochettino's first team throughout the season. But an extended period in the team's sick bay could pave the way for Winks to play an increased role.
