Tottenham will be without its captain and starting goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for a midweek Premier League tilt against Sunderland, with the French shot-stopper ruled out due to illness and replaced with Michel Vorm in the starting XI.
Lloris has featured in 20 of Spurs' 22 Premier League fixtures this season, but the 30-year-old did not travel to the Stadium of Light with an unspecified illness.
Vorm starts his second consecutive match, having featured against Wycombe Wanderers in an FA Cup game last weekend. The side also features a few changes, with Kyle Walker, Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama, Dele Alli, and Harry Kane returning to the starting lineup.
