Manchester United's 104-day residency in 6th place over
Manchester United has been evicted from its safe home of sixth place by Ronald Koeman's Everton.
The Red Devils have been on an unbeaten streak in the Premier League since October but, remarkably, had been in sixth place for 104 days until Saturday's goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Enner Valencia, and a Romelu Lukaku brace earned the Toffees a comprehensive four-goal win over Hull City.

United was leapfrogged into sixth by West Bromwich Albion on Dec. 3, 2016 when it recorded a 3-1 home win over Watford, but Jose Mourinho's ranks then drew 1-1 at Everton the following day to return to that position. Until today, they had been there ever since.
It would be unlikely to see Everton still possessing a spot in the top six after United has made up its three games in hand, or, indeed, after tomorrow. On Sunday, the Old Trafford outfit travels to Teesside to take on a 19th-placed Middlesbrough side which has scored a league-low 19 goals in 27 matches, and is under the caretaker charge of Steve Agnew after Aitor Karanka's sacking.
