Report: Lingard agrees to treble United salary to around £100K a week
Jesse Lingard is apparently on the verge of significantly fattening up his pay packet at Manchester United.
The Warrington-born winger has agreed to terms which will see him take home around £100,000 a week, according to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol. That would mark a salary three times higher than what he currently earns.
It's understood that the 24-year-old's new contract will last four years - tagging on another three years to his current agreement.
Lingard had to wait until last season to make an impact in the senior squad after loan spells with Leicester City, Birmingham City, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Derby County. He joined United's academy at age 7, earned his first professional deal in 2011, and scored the winner against Crystal Palace in the 2016 FA Cup final.
United limped to a Premier League-high 12th draw at home to Everton on Tuesday, and travels to cellar-dweller Sunderland on Sunday.
