Iborra joins Leicester from Sevilla for reported €14M fee
Vicente Iborra will suit up for Leicester City next season after the Premier League side announced the defensive midfielder's arrival from Sevilla on Thursday.
The former Sevilla captain signed a four-year contract after Leicester completed a transfer that will reportedly cost up to €14 million.
"I'm very happy to be here with Leicester City and I'm looking forward to experiencing the Premier League with my new team-mates next season," he said. "Everything about this Club seems good and it's been great to meet my new team-mates. I've already spoken with them about the city and the club so I can't wait to get started."
Iborra becomes the second signing to arrive at King Power Stadium this summer following the arrival of Harry Maguire from Hull City.
Manager Craig Shakespeare got a glimpse of Iborra during Sevilla's visit in March, and is excited about the prospect of working with the imposing midfielder next season.
"I'm absolutely delighted that Vicente has joined us," Shakespeare said. "He's a player with such a good pedigree from his time in Spain with Sevilla and he adds some really strong competition to our squad."
Despite the preventative nature of his position, Iborra managed to find the back of the net 30 times during his four seasons with Sevilla.
