West Ham confirms Enner Valencia's transfer to Tigres

Enner Valencia is returning to a country where he enjoyed success.

On Thursday, West Ham United announced that Valencia joined Club Tigres UANL. The announcement was made three days after the Ecuadorian forward was incorporated into the Mexican club's training, six days after he underwent a medical, and one week after he arrived in Mexico.

"West Ham United would like to thank Enner for his efforts and wish him all the best for his future career," the Hammers said.

Valencia - who milked cows to pay for his first football boots - joined West Ham from Club Pachuca after scoring all three of Ecuador's goals at the 2014 World Cup. The South American attacker spent three seasons with the Hammers and spent the majority of the last campaign on loan at Everton, where he tallied three goals through 21 Premier League appearances.

During Valencia's time at Pachuca, he finished as Liga MX's top scorer in the 2013-14 Clausura, notching 12 goals.
