Report: Aguero out 2-4 weeks after fracturing rib in car crash
Sergio Aguero can reportedly expect to take the pitch before October's end.
According to BBC Sport's Simon Stone, Aguero's injuries weren't as serious as initially feared, and El Kun is looking at a two-to-four-week absence. The Argentinian forward could apparently be back for Manchester City's Premier League game versus Stoke City on Oct. 14.
Aguero was assessed by City's doctors Friday after being involved in a road accident in the Netherlands on Thursday. He was in a taxi that crashed into a post, leaving him with a broken rib that will prevent him from travelling with City's squad to Chelsea. The product of CA Independiente was reportedly returning to the airport after a concert by Maluma, a Colombian artist.
I'm home in Manchester after an exam by club Drs. It's a broken rib. Hurts, but I'm fine, fully focused on recovery. Thank you all! pic.twitter.com/uamK7xwo99

"The taxi I was riding made a wrong turn and crashed against a pole," Aguero wrote on Twitter. "It was a very heavy slam but seatbelts prevented it from being worse."
Even if Aguero is out for only two weeks, he'll miss Argentina's last two games in CONMEBOL's 2018 World Cup qualifying. La Albiceleste is fifth in the table and in real danger of missing out on Russia, as only four national teams qualify from South America, while whoever finishes will battle New Zealand in an inter-confederation play-off. Argentina will host fourth-place Peru at La Bombonera on Oct. 5 and complete the two-year marathon by invading Ecuador at the Estadio Olimpico Atahualpa on Oct. 10.
