Peter Crouch will still be under Stoke City's aerial assaults in 2019.

The spindly striker earned himself a contract extension with the Potters on Tuesday, with the revised terms taking him beyond his 38th birthday and until the end of the 2018-19 season, which will be his eighth with the club.

"I love working with the staff here, we have a great group of players who are hungry to succeed and I just love coming in on a daily basis," Crouch said.

"I have always had a really special relationship with the supporters too, so from that perspective it was a no-brainer to sign a longer deal."

Crouch is often restricted to being an impact player off the bench for Stoke, having scored three goals in nine substitute appearances during the current Premier League campaign. He's also started twice in the League Cup this season, finishing a tap-in during Stoke's 4-0 second-round mauling of Rochdale in August.
