Report: Bournemouth wants to add Colombia's Jefferson Lerma
Premier League side Bournemouth is reportedly looking to add some South American quality to its squad ahead of next season.
The Cherries are keen on bringing Colombia international midfielder Jefferson Lerma to the south coast from La Liga side Levante, reports Simon Stone of BBC Sport.
Though that report insists no bid has yet been submitted by Eddie Howe's side, The Guardian suggests an initial offer worth £16 million has already been filed.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports claims that fee could rise to around £19 million with bonuses should Levante be willing to do business. Lerma is also thought to be attracting interest from Germany.
Lerma was proficient in defensive midfield for Levante last season despite his combative style making him a magnet for yellow cards. He was booked an astonishing 16 times in 26 La Liga appearances.
The 23-year-old has won five caps for Colombia. Despite his relative lack of experience, he is being tipped by some to make an impact as a substitute for Los Cafeteros in Russia.
