Report: Tottenham tracking Ben Chilwell, Frenkie de Jong
Tottenham Hotspur are pondering moves in the transfer market after conducting no incoming business over the summer.
Leicester City's Ben Chilwell, who received his first senior England call-up on Sunday, and Ajax's Frenkie de Jong are being eyed by Mauricio Pochettino's side, according to The Telegraph's Matt Law, with the latter possibly the subject of a January bid.
De Jong, who has flourished in both defense and midfield, is considered one of the standout prospects in the Dutch game. The 21-year-old would most likely be nabbed for his work in midfield, where Mousa Dembele is in the final year of his Tottenham contract. Spurs also missed out on signing Aston Villa's Jack Grealish for that role in the close season.

Chilwell, who is also 21 years old, would probably be signed ahead of the 2019-20 campaign when he'll have two years left on his Foxes contract.
The left-back's potential was a poorly kept secret while he developed in the youth ranks, with Leicester resisting bids from Arsenal and Liverpool before Chilwell made his first-team debut in January 2016. He has gradually inherited a regular starting berth from Austrian veteran Christian Fuchs.
Tottenham has apparently identified Chilwell as a replacement for Danny Rose, who last year revealed a desire to return to his native north England and has been linked with a switch to Manchester United. Chilwell is expected to be picked ahead of Rose for England's friendly against Switzerland on Tuesday after playing a full match for the Under-21s against their Dutch counterparts last Thursday.
Spurs have previously considered an approach for Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham, who has recently begun his first top-flight term at just 18 years old.
