Twitter can't believe Sturridge scored that goal against Chelsea
Daniel Sturridge's rocket of an equalizer Saturday at Chelsea earned some serious respect on social media.
After spending the last few years in the footballing wilderness, Sturridge has become an important option off the bench for Liverpool. His goal Saturday was all the more poetic considering that the Blues discarded him in 2013.
The reaction

All the money Liverpool have spent on players, I’m quite into ‘The Redemption Of Daniel Sturridge’

It’s scary to think about what a player Sturridge would have been if he wasn’t cursed with injuries.

It's been a decent week for him. pic.twitter.com/lrFcn8b3q2
That was Sturridge’s first goal from outside the box in 4 and a half years...

The call-up?
Sturridge in such good form, 4th goal in 7 games this season. Not played for #eng for a year (Lithuania away, 26th cap), now aged 29 so too old given Southgate's commitment to youth? #eng not blessed with centre-forwards, though. Southgate announces next squad on Thursday.
