Prague - Czech Republic captain Borek Dockal has been ruled out of Friday's Euro 2020 qualifier against England at Wembley because of a calf injury, coach Jaroslav Silhavy said Thursday.
"We talked to him and the doctors during Wednesday's training session and decided not to pick him," said Silhavy to Czech news agency CTK.
Czech media report that Sparta Prague playmaker Dockal, 30, who has scored six goals in 39 games for the national side, will be replaced as captain by Hertha Berlin midfielder Vladimir Darida.
The Czechs will also be without first-choice goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik after the Sevilla stopper picked up an abdomen injury before his side's 1-0 win at Espanyol on Sunday.
