Twitter roasts Spurs after late own goal gifts Liverpool victory
Tottenham supporters should probably avoid social media for the foreseeable future.
Moments after Moussa Sissoko squandered an opportunity to give Tottenham the lead, Liverpool grabbed the winner in the 90th minute when Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld inadvertently knocked the ball into his own net while attempting to clear a Mohamed Salah header.
The 2-1 victory lifts Liverpool above Manchester City and back into first place, as the Reds attempt to win a first league title since 1989.
If the defeat wasn't bad enough, Twitter couldn't contain its joy after witnessing Spurs collapse, which could have repercussions on their ability to secure a top-four finish.
