Cutrone officially joins Wolves from AC Milan
Italian striker Patrick Cutrone completed his move to Wolverhampton on Tuesday, signing a four-year contract with the Premier League side and ending his time with childhood club AC Milan.
The deal is worth an initial €18 million, according to the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano, with a further €4 million payable in add-ons.
Cutrone became a fan favorite at Milan, scoring 27 goals in 90 appearances across three seasons with the Rossoneri. A striker in the mold of Filippo Inzaghi, the 21-year-old earned a reputation for being in the right place at the right time.
After losing his place in Milan's starting lineup to Krzysztof Piatek, Cutrone will face a similar fight for minutes at Wolves, who made the signing of Raul Jimenez permanent earlier this summer.
"Patrick is an exciting signing at a very exciting period for this football club," Wolves sporting director Kevin Thelwell said in a statement.
"We have a strong philosophy under the leadership of (manager) Nuno of bringing in the right type of people and developing young talent while staying humble and grounded as individuals, and we feel Patrick perfectly fits into our philosophy."
