Report: Juve, City agree to swap deal involving Cancelo, Danilo

Juventus and Manchester City have agreed to a swap deal involving full-backs Joao Cancelo and Danilo, reports Fabrizio Romano of the Guardian.

The reigning Premier League champions will also fork over €30 million to meet the Serie A side's valuation of the Portuguese right-back, Romano adds. The transfer is expected to be finalized Monday.

Cancelo, 25, joined Juventus from Valencia for €40.4 million in 2018, showcasing an array of attacking skills that helped the Old Lady retain the Scudetto. He completed more take-ons (61) than any other defender in Italy's top flight last season.

Upon completion of his move to the Etihad, Cancelo will battle with incumbent right-back Kyle Walker for first-choice duties.

Danilo, meanwhile, is coming off a disappointing campaign. The Brazilian, 28, made only 11 Premier League appearances for Pep Guardiola last season. His career has largely stalled since making an opulent move to Real Madrid from Porto in 2015.

He should find consistent playing time easier to come by at the Allianz Stadium, though, with only Mattia De Sciglio offering direct competition for the starting right-back role under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
