Report: Chelsea fan arrested for allegedly racially abusing Son

A Chelsea supporter was arrested for allegedly racially abusing Tottenham winger Heung-Min Son on Sunday, according to the Guardian's Jacob Steinberg.

The person was reportedly ejected from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and arrested for committing a racially aggravated public order offense.

The Metropolitan Police made six arrests in the aftermath of Chelsea's 2-0 win, according to the BBC.

The Blues said they're "aware of an alleged racist incident involving a Chelsea supporter at yesterday's match" but didn't confirm any of the arrests.

"Chelsea Football Club will not tolerate any form of racism, nor is there a place at this club for anyone who is found to have engaged in such behavior," the team said in a statement that Rob Harris of The Associated Press obtained.

"If a season-ticket holder or member is involved, we will take the strongest possible action against them, including bans," the statement continued. "We will also support any potential criminal proceedings by the relevant authorities."

During the same match, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger informed referee Anthony Taylor that monkey chants were being direct at him. Tottenham said preliminary findings from their investigation were "inconclusive."
