Manchester City have recruited yet another promising youngster from South America.
The reigning Premier League champions are signing 16-year-old defender Kluiverth Aguilar from Alianza Lima, the Peruvian side announced on Saturday.
Aguilar will remain at Alianza until he turns 18 in May 2021.
However, it's unlikely he'll go straight onto City's first team. A stint at one of their sister clubs is more probable, the Manchester Evening News' Tyrone Marshall reports.
City Football Group owns teams in New York, Melbourne, Yokohama, Montevideo, Girona, Sichuan, and Mumbai.
Alianza described it as "the most important transfer of Peruvian football to Europe in recent years," according to BBC Sport's Simon Stone.
Aguilar, who plays as a right-back, has featured for Peru's under-17 and under-23 teams. He's appeared nine times for Alianza, beginning with his first-team debut in November.
