Kai Havertz justified his selection.
The Chelsea star, picked to start the Champions League final over Christian Pulisic, scored the only goal in Saturday's clash against Manchester City, finding a huge hole in the City backline and keeping his calm to beat an onrushing Ederson in the 42nd minute.
The Blues' 1-0 victory saw them crowned champions of Europe for the second time in club history.
