If Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland ends up playing in England, there's only one option for the highly coveted forward, according to his agent.

Mino Raiola listed Manchester City as a possible destination for his client, along with Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

"He can and will take the next step," Raiola told the German TV channel Sport1, as translated by the Guardian's Jamie Jackson. "Bayern, Real, Barcelona, City - these are the big clubs he can go to. City have won the championship five times in recent years, significantly more than (Manchester) United. When we moved to Dortmund, we all knew that this step would come."

The Italian agent's comments will come as a blow for England's other top clubs, especially Manchester United.

Reports last summer indicated that the Red Devils were determined to make a move for Haaland at the end of this season. But the club's recent lack of success in the Premier League has apparently taken it out of the running, according to Raiola.

The agent added that there's a "great chance" the 21-year-old forward's time at Dortmund could come to an end after this season. Haaland is expected to be available for €75 million this summer due to a release clause in his BVB contract.

The Norwegian international has 74 goals in 72 games since joining Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020.
