Blackburn want big money for Jordan Rhodes
Blackburn won't sell Jordan Rhodes for cheap according to manager Gary Bower.
Rhodes has been worth every penny for Blackburn, who spent £8 million on the 23-year-old. The Scottish international has nine goals in seven games for the Rovers.
His form as attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, but Bower insists Blackburn intend to make a large profit if they sell Rhodes.
“It would have to be an astronomical offer because the owners have said to me he wouldn’t be for sale. Goalscorers are worth their weight in gold. When I was offered the job, my first question was about Jordan and they said, ‘No, we’re not selling him’. Figures of £6.5 million were mentioned in the summer, but he’s got better, so how does that make economical sense?"
Tottenham and Newcastle are two of the teams rumored to be interested in Rhodes.
