Dominic Calvert-Lewin joins Leeds on a free transfer after leaving Everton
LEEDS, England (AP) — England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin joined newly promoted Premier League team Leeds on Friday.
Calvert-Lewin’s contract at Everton expired at the end of last season, so he is moving to Elland Road on a free transfer.
Leeds confirmed that the 28-year-old striker signed a three-year contract.
“I feel like a kid again that is just starting somewhere new and just can’t wait to play and represent the football club,” Calvert-Lewin told Leeds' media.
He's scored 57 goals in the Premier League though just three in 26 appearances last season.
Calvert-Lewin spent nine years at Everton and has played four times for England, most recently in 2021.
Leeds' first Premier League game is at home to Everton on Monday.
