The race for Wharton

Liverpool have overtaken the competition in the race to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton. However, fellow heavyweights Manchester United and Real Madrid both remain in the mix for the England international.

With Wharton under contract until 2029, Palace are in a strong negotiating position and will demand at least £80 million for the 22-year-old. (talkSPORT)

Spurs want Senesi: Tottenham have an agreement in principle to sign Marcos Senesi once his contract with Bournemouth expires in the summer, but the deal is contingent on Spurs avoiding relegation. (talkSPORT)
