Oussama Assaidi: Not Quite Ready Yet
Assaidi, who was expected to return this weekend from a knee injury, is likely another week away, according to the club's official web site. "He will join in with the rest of the lads in training today which is a good step for him, but I do think the game will probably come a bit too soon for him to return," manager Mark Hughes said Thursday. "We will see how he comes through the session today, but with a bit of luck, and with hopefully a full week of training behind him, we can look to include him in some capacity against Tottenham next weekend."
Analysis:
Assaidi has managed to play in only 16 games this year, scoring three goals. However, he has not played since February 12 against Swansea, so it's unrealistic to think he'll have a major impact when he does return.
