Manchester City midfielder David Silva was forced to leave Monday's game against West Brom after apparently re-aggravating an ankle injury.
Silva made the start on Monday after dealing with an ankle problem for two weeks, but injuries to Yaya Toure and Jesus Navas forced manager Manuel Pellegrini's hand, who included the Spain international in his starting XI.
Silva left the game on a stretcher, indicating the injury is quite serious.
Silva was subbed off in exchange for James Milner in the 70th minute.
