Chelsea confirm shoulder surgery for Petr Cech; will miss 8-10 weeks

Chelsea confirmed Wednesday that goalkeeper Petr Cech will be on the shelf for upwards of two months, as the Czech shot-stopped will need a significant amount of time to recover from a serious shoulder injury.
Petr Cech successfully underwent surgery today following his shoulder dislocation. He will be out for approximately 8 to 10 weeks. #CFC

Cech, 31, sustained the injury in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid last month.
With on-loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois set to return from his stint with Atletico at the end of the season, it is possible that we have seen the last of Cech as the main man between the sticks at Stamford Bridge.
