Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini lauded his squad's demeanor after a season-opening 2-0 victory at Newcastle United on Sunday.
City looked composed and in control against Newcastle, which Pellegrini attributes to players remembering something he calls "the two h's."
"It was very important for us to start with a win," Pellegrini told reporters following the match. "We talked to the squad about the 'two h's' - we were hungry and humble. We need both if want to continue winning titles and improve on what we did last season."
With two Premier League titles in the last three seasons, staying hungry and humble all year might be easier said than done for Manchester City, which will host Liverpool in its next game.
