Jorge Mendes reiterates Ronaldo is happy at Real Madrid, suggests any transfer would cost €1 billion
Cristiano Ronaldo is not leaving Real Madrid. Not now and, according to his agent Jorge Mendes, not ever.
Despite constant rumours suggesting that the Portuguese superstar could make a return to Manchester United at some point in his career, Mendes has continually put the kibosh on such speculation, saying that Ronaldo will remain with the Spanish club for the rest of his career.
Another reason why he would likely never move elsewhere? His transfer fee.
Mendes claims that it would take an astronomical amount of money to get the reigning Ballon d'Or winner out of the Santiago Bernabeu.
"The price is that stated in his release clause – €1 billion," Mendes said. "United are in his heart and he is very respectful of people who show him affection but he is in Madrid to the end."
So there you have it.
Manchester United essentially prints its own money, but that is a price too steep for anyone. Even the Red Devils.
