Well, this one should leave you speechless.
In one of the more inexplicable moments from this Premier League season, Sunderland defender Santiago Vergini handed Southampton a 1-0 lead on Saturday with an own goal that involved some world-class finishing.
After the ball fell to Vergini just outside Sunderland's box in the 12th minute, the Argentinian defender appeared to have a complete mind lapse and unleashed a curler into his own net that left 'keeper/teammate Vito Mannone with no chance.
Perhaps the own goal shouldn't come as a complete surprise given Sunderland's poor history of scoring on themselves.
7 - Sunderland have scored seven own goals since the start of last season, more than any other Premier League side. Aid.
