QPR issue apology following public disagreement between Redknapp, Taarabt
It's been an embarrassing week off the pitch for the Premier League basement-dwelling Queens Park Rangers after manager Harry Redknapp and forward Adel Taarabt engaged in a public war of words.
With both members of the club unleashing verbal attacks against each other, QPR Chairman Tony Fernandes has been forced to issue an apology.
Fernandes outlined his disappointment in the dispute being played out in public, and confessed his and the club's shame.
"We regret these issues being played out in public and both Harry Redknapp and Adel Taarabt have been notified of our disappointment regarding their handling of the situation. I have spoken to them both personally," Fernandes said in a statement on the team's website.
"On behalf of the club, I would like to apologise to the QPR supporters for the embarrassment this has caused and confirm that the issue has been dealt with internally."
