Injured Mario Balotelli to miss Liverpool's Champions League match
Liverpool will be without Mario Balotelli for their Champions League match Wednesday as he continues to recover from a groin injury.
Balotelli, who also missed Liverpool's weekend loss to Crystal Palace, was left behind in England as the team traveled to Sofia, Bulgaria to take on Ludogorets, according to The Telegraph.
With Daniel Sturridge also on the sidelines with an injury, Rickie Lambert is the likeliest candidate to get the start up front in a match Liverpool will be desperate to win.
The club are currently tied with the Bulgarian side with three points through four matches.
Despite their struggles with injury, Liverpool will be confident of coming away with three points, but may face another tough test against Ludogorets after capturing an unconvincing 2-1 win in the first leg at Anfield.
