Football League Board disqualifies Massimo Cellino from owning Leeds

Eccentric Italian Massimo Cellino's reign at Leeds United is over after just eight months.

Cellino, who assumed control of the club after buying a 75 percent stake, had been under investigation in his home country for what a judge described as "a Machiavellian situation" in which he attempted to avoid paying taxes of nearly €390,000 (£305,000) on a yacht purchased in 2012.

The 58-year-old former owner of Serie A side Cagliari has maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings.
