Tottenham sign Ryan Mason to new contract through 2019-20

Tottenham's homegrown defensive midfielder Ryan Mason will be remaining at White Hart Lane for the foreseeable future after signing a new contract Thursday.

Mason has made 15 Premier League appearances this season, notching two assists while doing an excellent job of consistently breaking down attacks from the opposition.

A five-and-a-half-year deal is a lengthy contract for any Premier League footballer, but Mason, 23, is already eyeing a future at Tottenham that extends beyond 2020.

"The length of the contract says a lot of faith in me and hopefully I can keep progressing and stay at the club longer than what the contract is," Mason said of his new deal.
