The 25-year-old, who joined the club from the Blues prior to the start of the season, has been a key member of Southampton's surprising campaign, starting 22 of the Saints' 23 Premier League matches.
The Englishman has two goals and as many assists thus far, and has been equally important in helping Southampton concede the fewest goals in the league (17) to this point.
