GIF: Wayne Rooney mocks boxing controversy with perfect goal celebration
Wayne Rooney is enjoying all the attention.
The Manchester United captain made headlines throughout England on Sunday, as The Sun published a video on its website showing Rooney being knocked out by former teammate Phil Bardsley after engaging in some playful sparring at his home last month.

While Bardsley's wife has since claimed the incident was all in joking and Rooney wasn't actually injured, that hasn't helped slow down the wave of criticism aimed, correctly or not, at the English star.
So Rooney, presumably amused by the backlash, poked fun at the incident after scoring his side's third goal in Sunday's match against Tottenham.
This celebration is instantly among the best we've seen, given the circumstances.
