Report: Southampton's Clyne won't dicuss contract until summer
Uncertainty over Nathaniel Clyne's future with Southampton will likely continue into the summer.
The English full-back has reportedly told the club he prefers to wait until the season is finished before deciding his future plans, sources tell ESPNFC.
He's willing to meet with Southampton's representatives to explore his options, but the club will be anxious to know Clyne's preference since his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2016.
Clyne could potentially be the second major departure from Southampton this summer, joining midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin after the French international reiterated his desire to leave if the club fail to qualify for a Champions League position.
Manchester United have been rumoured to be interested in Clyne, and news of his unwillingness to commit will fuel speculation that a move to Old Trafford could be a possibility in the summer.
The 23-year-old has already surpassed the number of Premier League appearances he made all of last season after suiting up for 28 of Southampton's 30 league matches.
He's earned a spot with the English squad during their efforts to qualify for the European Championships and will surely seek a hefty pay rise in a new deal with Southampton or another team if he chooses to leave.
