Raheem Sterling isn't going anywhere, even if Liverpool and the electric Englishman are unable to iron out their differences in the ongoing contract negotiations between the two sides.
The Reds - who are thought to have offered the 20-year-old a new deal in the region of £100,000-a-week - will not consider selling their prized youngster this summer even if they cannot come to terms on a new agreement, ESPN FC reports.
Sterling, whose contract runs through 2017, is thought to be looking for roughly £150,000-a-week in his new deal, a monstrous increase on his current £35,000-a-week wage, and one that would make him one of the highest earners at the club.
Talks have stalled as a result, and manager Brendan Rodgers said earlier this month that the two sides have agreed not to discuss contract matters until the end of the season.
Should the contract dispute extend deep into the summer, it's difficult to envision a scenario in which the club doesn't meet the demands of arguably their best player.
Coming off a breakout campaign last season, Sterling, despite being shifted around the field by Rodgers and even seeing some time as a wing-back, has been the club's most impactful attacker.
In Premier League action, he is tied for the team lead in both goals (6) and assists (7), while also setting the pace in key passes per 90 minutes (2.3).
If Liverpool doesn't pay him what he wants, rest assured someone else will.
