Daniel Sturridge's season is, in all likelihood, over.
The Liverpool striker, who has been plagued by a myriad of ailments throughout a frustrating season - for both the player and the club - confirmed Tuesday that he has undergone surgery on a hip problem that has kept him sidelined since early April.

Sturridge, who scored 21 Premier League goals for the Reds last season, has made just 14 appearances (in all competitions) this year.
