Report: Radamel Falcao meets with Chelsea
A bit of redemption could be in store for Radamel Falcao as he considers returning to England following his miserable first season with Manchester United.
Only this time, the Colombian international is setting his sights on a possible transfer to the Premier League champions, Chelsea, according to Amy Lewis of Sky Sports.
Falcao is reportedly speaking with several teams following his uninspired, season-long loan with United from AS Monaco.
His first year in England's top flight never appeared to suit Falcao as he struggled throughout the campaign and only managed four goals during his 29 appearances.
United rejected the option to buy the striker and announced Falcao's departure following the conclusion of the season.
If Falcao and Chelsea come to an agreement, the 29-year-old has the capability of being an effective replacement for Didier Drogba, who announced his departure from the league champions shortly before their season finale.
It's unknown if a transfer this summer would be a loan agreement or a permanent move, but Sky Sports reports that a transfer from the Ligue 1 team could cost up to £44 million.
