James Milner appears to be on the verge of joining Liverpool.
The Manchester City midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield since the conclusion of the Premier League season, and looks set to join the Merseyside club by the end of the week, according to Oliver Kay of The Times.
Talks between Liverpool and Milner's representatives have been expected to take place later in the week, but the English international would not be allowed to join the team until July 1 when the transfer window officially opens.
Milner joined City in 2010 from Aston Villa and has gone on to win two league titles, an FA Cup and the League Cup.
