A Dutch manager is reportedly pursuing one of the Eredivisie's highest-rated prospects.
Sunderland have offered in excess of £11 million for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Georginio Wiljnaldum, according to the Guardian. Wijnaldum was named Dutch Footballer of the Year following a 2014-15 season in which he notched 14 goals and three assists as PSV captured the Eredivisie title.
Manager Dick Advocaat is believed to have already made contact with PSV regarding a potential move, though Sunderland's eternal rivals, Newcastle United, are allegedly also targeting Wijnaldum.
