Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin expects future to be resolved 'in coming days'
Morgan Schneiderlin's future at Southampton seems to be on the verge of resolution.
One of the Premier League's most sought-after players this summer, the French midfielder is reportedly close to an agreement with the Saints that will allow him to move elsewhere while ensuring the club nets a handsome transfer fee for his services.
The 25-year-old's been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham since the end of last season. Tuesday, he told radio station France Bleu Alsace, as quoted by The Guardian, that he expected his future to be resolved in short order.
"The negotiations are ongoing and should be completed in the coming days, hopefully before the resumption of (Southampton's preseason) training next week," he said.
Schneiderlin was the driving force behind Southampton's ultimately futile push for a Champions League berth last season. He saw a potential move to Spurs thwarted by the Saints last summer, as the club refused to sell their most integral player.
This time around, as reports suggest his signature will cost interested teams roughly £24 million, all signs point to the Frenchman wearing a different kit next season.
