Watford paid a club record fee to lure midfielder Etienne Capoue from Tottenham as they get set for their first season in the Premier League since 2007.
Watford secured the services of the French international after signing him to a four-year contract following two unsuccessful seasons in north London.
Capoue, 26, joined Tottenham in 2013 from Toulouse, but failed to make an impact and only managed to make 24 Premier League appearances.
While neither team disclosed the transfer fee, Capoue's arrival will exceed Watford's previous club record when they paid £3.25 million to sign Nathan Ellington before the beginning of their last campaign in England's top flight.
