Liverpool's transfer agreement with Burnley for Danny Ings is far from over.
The Merseyside team are facing the prospect of going to a tribunal to settle their disagreement with Burnley over the transfer fee they're expected to pay for the young striker.
Despite the fact that Ings, 22, agreed to join Liverpool shortly after the Premier League season, the two sides have yet to settle on a transfer fee, according to Mike Whalley of ESPNFC.
Ings' contract with Burnley expired June 30, yet the club is still entitled to receive payment since the player is under 24.
A tribunal could reportedly force Liverpool to pay close to £10 million to acquire Ings, a significant increase to the £6 million they offered in June. Burnley could be rewarded a figure closer to their assessment if the tribunal takes Tottenham's £12-million bid for Ings into consideration, ESPN reports.
