Radamel Falcao will wear No. 9 at Chelsea
A change of allegiance doesn't mean a change of shirt number for Radamel Falcao.
Although the Colombian forward is at a new club and looking to hit the refresh button on his dwindling career, Chelsea announced Monday that Falcao will take the pitch at Stamford Bridge wearing the same shirt number that he wore during his season-long loan at Manchester United as well as at the international level.

Falcao, who moved to Chelsea on a season-long loan from AS Monaco at the beginning of July, endured a brutal spell at Old Trafford, notching only four goals through 26 Premier League appearances. The peak of the humiliating stint came in March, when he was sent to United's under-21 side.
It's worth noting that the last player to wear No. 9 at Chelsea was none other than Fernando Torres, who - as most people are surely aware of - provided the supporters at Stamford Bridge with some bewildering misses throughout three-and-a-half seasons. In fact, Torres finished with only 20 goals to his name through 110 appearances with the club.

No matter how badly Falcao struggles at Chelsea, it will be tough for him to be as useless as Torres was with the club.
