Roberts, 18, is an attacking midfielder and winger who made 22 appearances for Fulham last season. He made his debut at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City and now joins the Premier League giants, despite having one year left on his contract with Fulham.
Terms of the deal were not yet revealed, but The Guardian reports that the deal could be in the range of £11 million, structured as an initial £5-million payment with £6 million in further add-ons.
Roberts is the third English player to sign for Manchester City this summer, following in the footsteps of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool and Fabian Delph from Aston Villa.
