Ibrahimovic says relationship with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is 'not good'
Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't be arriving at Old Trafford anytime soon as long as Louis van Gaal is the manager of Manchester United.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker all but ruled out a move to the Premier League club when quizzed about his history and relationship with the Dutch boss.
Although they didn't have a long working relationship at Ajax in 2004, where the United manager had returned following a six-year stint from 1991 to 1997, Van Gaal's influence had a negative and lasting impact on Ibrahimovic.
"No, that's not good," Ibrahimovic revealed to Sports Illustrated about his relationship with Van Gaal. "He was a director in Ajax, and the way he is working is not the way I work."
The pair spent less than a year at the Dutch club before they both departed the club following the 2004-05 season.
But it's that period that leads Ibrahimovic to think a reunion with Van Gaal would likely create a similar situation.
"At the end, I think he is professional and I am professional. Whoever I work with, I never had this kind of problems, because at the end I need to do my job, he needs to do his job," he said. "And I think a lot of fights would happen, but that's something I like."
