West Brom denies receiving bid for Saido Berahino: 'This is getting silly now'
Always one for banter, West Bromwich Albion published yet another eyebrow-raising tweet on Tuesday after Matt Law of The Telegraph reported the team and Tottenham Hotspur are more than £10 million apart in their valuations of Saido Berahino.
In response, the West Midlands club took to Twitter to stress that no bid has been submitted for the 21-year-old forward.
Ok, this is getting silly now. So let us make it clear. There has been NO bid for Saido. That's it. Carry on everyone #wba

It should be noted that Law's report made no mention of a bid having already been made by Tottenham. Rather, it was alleged that the North London club was intending to make an opening offer of £10 million for Berahino that fell short of West Brom's £25-million valuation, setting the stage for a saga that could be dragged out towards the end of the summer transfer window.
Last season saw Berahino score 14 goals and appear in all 38 of West Brom's Premier League fixtures.
