Report: Tottenham interested in Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender
Reuters
Tottenham is reportedly looking to add to its midfield ranks with the signature of Borussia Dortmund defensive midfielder Sven Bender, according to the Telegraph's Matt Law.
Bender, 26, made 20 appearances last season with Dortmund. He is a German international, though his twin brother, Lars Bender, is ahead of him on the national-team depth chart. He joined Dortmund in 2009 and has made 168 first-team appearances, scoring four goals.
Under Jurgen Klopp, Bender was a regular starter - but he may not be a part of new manager Thomas Tuchel's plans next season, leaving the door open for a switch to White Hart Lane.
