Report: Sunderland close to adding Yann M'Vila, Leroy Fer
Sunderland could receive a boost in its effort to avoid relegation with the possible additions of Yann M'Vila and Leroy Fer.
The pair of midfielders are close to joining the Premier League side, according to Louise Taylor of the Guardian, as Dick Advocaat attempts to get his side ready for its season opener against Leicester City on Aug. 8.
M'Vila will complete his move from Rubin Kazan in the coming days after he takes a medical at the team's training facility Monday, the Guardian reports, while Fer is expected to join The Black Cats on a season-long loan from Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
It's unclear how much Sunderland will pay the Russian outfit for M'Vila, who spent last season on loan with Inter Milan, but it likely won't be as much as the reported £10-million transfer fee Rubin Kazan paid Rennes in 2013.
Fer is available because his high wages don't line up well with QPR, who were relegated last season.
