Chelsea's Courtois sent off vs. Swansea, will be suspended for Manchester City match

Thibaut Courtois' first Premier League match of the new season lasted all of 58 minutes before it ended in shock and disappointment.
The octopus-like shot-stopper was shown a straight red card in the second half of Chelsea's curtain raiser against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, wiping out Bafetimbi Gomis millimeters inside the penalty area after the striker beat him to a ball that sliced open the Blues' defense.

Gomis then picked himself up off the turf and slotted home a penalty beyond substitute Asmir Begovic, earning Swansea a 2-2 draw.
More concerning for manager Jose Mourinho, however, is that Chelsea will now be without Courtois for next weekend's match against fellow title contenders Manchester City. The Belgian will be banned for at least one match as a result of his straight red card and, regardless of whether the suspension is increased, he will watch the aforementioned contest from the stands.
